One UI 6.1

Samsung Clear-out Confusion: As Galaxy A35 & Galaxy A55 Lack Galaxy AI Features despite having One UI 6.1

Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are brand new mid-range smartphones, but unfortunately, they lack recently introduced Galaxy AI features.

One of the biggest hot topics gets cold: whether Samsung will bring exclusive Galaxy AI capabilities to any other newly launched Galaxy devices except flagship ones. As Samsung doesn’t offer Galaxy AI features, it recently launched a mid-range Galaxy device.

Since day one, after introducing the Galaxy AI along with the Galaxy S24 flagship series, the question has been twerking in the mind of whether Samsung launches in the future will offer Galaxy AI. Finally, it’s clear that the Korean giants are not yet ready to bring AI features and functionality to mid-range devices.

However, recently launched mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, as well as the two-month-old Galaxy S24 flagship series, all run Android 14-based One UI 6.1 out of the box. Despite that, both mid-range smartphones lack AI features, including generative wallpapers, advanced photo editing, and so on.

Noticeably, both smartphones are powered by faster chipsets as compared to their predecessors, but somehow they are probably not powerful enough to offer a better experience for most Galaxy AI features.

Not only the Galaxy AI features, but both the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 smartphones lack one non-AI, more interesting feature of One UI 6.1, which is wallpaper support in Always On Display. Undoubtedly, we can’t predict anything since it’s all up to Samsung. It may change its mind later and provide Galaxy AI features to mid-range ones.
