US Carrier-unlocked Galaxy S21 FE gets March 2024 security patch update

Samsung has already rolled out the March 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy S21 FE devices, but it was limited to Europe and Canada. Now the update has started expanding to the US.

More specifically, the Galaxy S21 FE has started getting the update for the unlocked variant in the US. Users can check the update using the firmware version number G990U1UESAFXC1. The update is available to almost all the carriers, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, C-Spire, Cellular South, Cricket, Comcast, DISH, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Tracfone, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. While the remaining carriers will soon get the update in the next few days

The March 2024 security patch is one of the standard security patch updates that doesn’t bring any new features, but it still provides some enhancements for performance and will also bring some stability to the existing functions.

Galaxy S24 Series started getting June 2024 update in India

Samsung has started rolling out the June 2024 security patch with the Galaxy S24 series device, then expanded it to more devices, but it is worth noticing that, due to the server limitation, the company hasn’t provided the update to all the units available across the world. The update is now available for the Indian units.

Samsung has rolled out the June 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra with the firmware version numbers S921BXXS2AXED, S926BXXS2AXED, and S928BXXS2AXED, respectively. With the latest update, users will see security related to the enhancement, which will strengthen the security of the device.

Going into the details, Samsung has already published full details about the patch, where it has mentioned that the June 2024 update will bring nearly 60 patches, whereas Google has included 37 patches. Along with this, the Korean giant has also added 22 more patches. As far as the differences between these patches are concerned, Google‘s patches are applied to all Android devices, but Samsung has exclusively rolled out some patches for Galaxy devices.

Samsung Releases June 2024 Security Patch for Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 in the USA

Last week, Verizon locked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have already received the June 2024 security patch update in the US. Now the update is available on more carriers as well as the update is also available for the unlocked units.

Notably, with the latest development, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are spotted getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F926USQS6IXF2 and F711USQS7IXF2, respectively. The update is now live on T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Comcast, and Spectrum Mobile. In the latest update, you will not see any significant changes but a security patch. This update will improve the overall security of the devices.

Meanwhile, the unlocked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 can be verified via these firmware version numbers, F926U1UES6IXF1 and F711U1UES7IXF1, respectively.

Galaxy A53 gets June 2024 security update in Europe

Samsung has introduced the June 2024 security update to many Galaxy devices belonging to different series, including the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series. Now that it has started rolling out the update for the Galaxy A series devices, the company has initiated the distribution of the Galaxy A53 devices.

The Galaxy A53 gets a June 2024 update in Europe

The Galaxy A53 has started getting a new update in Europe with the firmware version number A536BXXSAEXF1. According to the changelog, the latest update for the device will improve security. It means you will not get any significant changes for the device; it will only bring some new features for the device. 

Going into details, the update brings fixes for more than 50 security vulnerabilities found in the software since the last update. Here,  Google has applied 37 patches, and to the satisfaction of customers, Samsung has also added 22 more patches that improve the overall security of the devices.

However, sometimes the security updates also bring new changes to the software, which make improvements to the function and eradicate those issues. If you are using the device in Europe, then you should start receiving new updates, but if you haven’t received the update yet, then wait for some time until the update reaches your device.

For your information, the Galaxy A53 made its debut in the market back in 2022, and it came with Android 12 pre-installed. Later, it received two more major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14. Following the software update policy, the device will get one more security patch update.
