Samsung Rejects Supplying Displays for Apple’s iPhone SE 4
The iPhone SE 4 is still in existence, as reports are reminding us of its existence by revealing its display.
This time Samsung refused to provide a display to Apple for its iPhone SE 4. This is being speculated by the reports; if these are to be believed, then Samsung has declined the opportunity to supply Apple with an iPhone SE 4 display just because of the price issues.
The reports say that Apple agreed to pay nearly $25 per display, but Samsung stands at $30 per display. However, the previous reports stated that Apple may have an LCD screen for the iPhone SE 4, which we had seen on the iPhone 11. But now the rumors are saying that it will have an OLED display, which can be more expensive.
However, Samsung and Apple have stood together since day one, as Samsung has been delivering OLED panels to Apple since its initial iPhone with an OLED display named the iPhone X. Back in March 2022, Apple launched its iPhone SE 3 with 5G, which cost slightly more at $429. That features the A15 Bionic processor and “advanced” camera features, including Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion, but the fact is, Apple is stuck with a single rear camera.
The reports are unveiling that the forthcoming iPhone SE will feature the Home button and adopt an all-screen design, Face ID, a newer processor, and a single camera. The reports are saying that Chinese firm BOE is the front-runner as the display supplier for the iPhone SE, and both Apple and BOE worked together in the past but have had some reported troubles regarding quality as well as reliability.
