Samsung Points to Google App, Offers Workaround for Galaxy S23 Touchscreen Issues in One UI 6.1

After taking a long break, Samsung finally released the One UI 6.1 update for last year’s flagship devices, including Galaxy S23 devices. With the latest update, Samsung has released several new software customizations and many advanced features for the devices that level up the user experience. Unfortunately, it has also brought some issues like slower changing speed, higher operating temptation, fingerprint recognition failure, and in the latest development, it is reported that the touch screen is also not responding properly.

As we reported earlier, many users have reported that they are unable to get the proper response from the screen even after trying several times. As the Korean giant is actively working on developing the One UI 6.1, it is also aware of this issue, and it has been cleared that the issue is caused by the Google app’s discover feature. Until Google works to resolve the issue, the company has provided a temporary solution.

How to Fix Galaxy S23 Touchscreen issue in One UI 6.1

Samsung has shared the solution and said that you have to update the Google app to the latest version, clear the Google app’s data, and then restart the device. Once you apply this, the display of your Galaxy S23 should start registering touches properly.

To update the Google app, go to the Play Store and search for the Google app; if it shows a new update available, tap on the update button. To clear the Google app data, you have to go to the app info, Google storage, and click on clear data.
