Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Gets April 2024 security update in Europe
Samsung has started the distribution of the April 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S24 series. It was assumed that the company may provide the update to all the other eligible Galaxy S series devices, but it didn’t happen, and it chose to expand it randomly. After taking more than a week, it has finally started rolling out the update for the Galaxy S23 series devices.
The April 2024 update is now available for the European units of the Galaxy S23. Users can identify the latest update by the firmware version number S91*BXXS3CXD2. It comes with the standard software package of 355 MB, which indicates that the update may not provide any new features or innovations.
In a nutshell, the April 2024 security patch update will provide you with some enhancements for security; there are more than 40 fixes. Google has introduced 27 patches that exclusively resolve the issues found in the Android OS, while Samsung has also added 17 more patches that will fix the issues found in Galaxy devices.
For your information, Google distributes the security patch to all Android devices to address security and privacy-related issues in the Android ecosystem. The company doesn’t provide it directly to the devices. First, it gives it to OEMs like Samsung, then they modify and optimize it according to devices and also add some extra improvements.
