Samsung Galaxy S22 is one of the top contender smartphones that is eligible to get the One UI 6.1 update in the next phase, but before that, the company has started rolling out the April 2024 security patch update for the device.

In the United States, the Galaxy S22 received the April 2024 security patch earlier. Now, with the latest development, it has started getting the same update in Europe. Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the latest update by these firmware version numbers: S901BXXS8DXD2, S906BXXS8DXD2, and S908BXXS8DXD2, respectively.

The April 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S22 device doesn’t bring any new features for the device. However, it is one of the security patch updates, so it will mainly focus on improving the overall security of the device.

Along with the security-related enhancements, we can also expect that the update may also provide some extra improvements that can enhance the working of several existing functionalities of the device, so if you want to get consistent performance on your device, then you should always keep it updated to the latest version.

If you are using the Galaxy S22 device in Europe, then you can check the update by following some simple steps: Go to system settings, then tap on the software update menu. Here, if it shows a new update available, tap on the download button.

The Galaxy S22 smartphone was released back in 2022. It debuted with One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 preinstalled. Later, it received one major update in the form of One UI 6.0, and now its users are waiting for the next significant update, One UI 6.1. With this update, the device may revise some AI capabilities.
