Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Note 20 Series Updated with May 2024 Security Patch

Samsung is gradually expanding the May 2024 security patch update for eligible Galaxy devices. Now,  with the latest development, the update is live for two older flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Note 20 series in Europe. Previously, the update was already available in the US.

Firmware details

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Note 20 series devices in Europe with the firmware version numbers F916BXXS6KXE5 and N98*BXXSBHXE9. However, the latest update for these devices will not bring any significant changes, but it will improve the internal functioning of the devices.

According to the official documentation, the May 2024 security patch will provide more than 50 fixes, some of which were introduced by Google to fix the issues spotted in the Android OS. Additionally, there are some more patches added by Samsung to exclusively fix the security vulnerability-related issues. To take advantage of all the new security changes, you should update the device to the latest version.

If you are using the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Note 20 series devices in Europe, then you can now update your device to the latest version simply by following these simple steps: Go to the system settings, then select the software update menu. If you see a new update available, tap on the download button.
