Google Wallet Now Supports 25 More US Banks
Google Wallet is a secure digital wallet that lets you store payment cards, passes, tickets, IDs, and more. Now, to stretch its support reach, convenience, and options in the US, Google Wallet is adding support for 25 new US banks.
This year, Google Wallet has received support for over 30 new banks each month, with more than 140 new banks added since January 2024 in total, permitting a wider range of US users to use the platform’s convenience for contactless payments.
Google Wallet is now expanding its support reach in the US again, and we’ve found 25 new banks added to the Google Wallet support page.

Although it’s unavailing that support for these banks probably will not be immediate, it may be due to a phased rollout or slow support or integration from the bank’s end. Users should ensure that their Google Wallet app is updated to the latest version to benefit from the newly-supported banks.
On the other hand, Google is replacing its Google Pay app with Google Wallet within a few days, on June 4, 2024. Google Pay will still be available online for web payments, but the app will be discontinued. The aim behind this merger is just to simplify things for users by offering all payment and digital wallet features in one app, Google Wallet. Google states that user data, which includes forms of payment, pass tickets, or other items you added to Google Pay, will automatically be available in Google Wallet; however, users will need to transfer out any funds that they added to their Google Pay balance before June 4.
