Samsung is on the streak to distribute the May 2024 security patch update for eligible devices. Moving forward for the session, the company has rolled out the latest security patch for the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S21 FE devices.

Notably, with the latest development, the Korean giant is distributing the May 2024 security patch update to the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S21 FE in Europe and South Korea. More specifically, the update for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra devices reached South Korea and Europe with the firmware version numbers G98*NKSS4IXE4 and G98*BXXSKHXEA, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 FE is getting an update in Europe with the firmware version number G990B2XXU7GXE1. The latest update doesn’t bring any significant changelog; it is just a standard changelog that only describes some repeated terms like improving device reliability and stability. The update is coming in a software package of nearly 300 MB, which indicates that the company will not make any significant changes for the devices.

But if you are having any issues while using the devices, then it may be that the game has changed for your devices. According to the official documentation, the latest update will improve the internal functioning of the devices, but it will not be visibly seen on the devices.

If you want to install the latest update on your device, then you can check the update from the system settings manually, or you can also go directly by touching on the notification that appears to alert you about the update availability.
