A couple of days ago, Google introduced the new beta update of Android Auto with version 12.1. In the testing phase, no significant changes were spotted, but it is expected that the company may bring some internal fixes that may enhance the performance and stability of the device. Now it is available for the stable channel.

Android Auto 12.1 stable update arrives

Meanwhile, if we talk about the changelog, the company has attached the same older changelog, which says, “Improved Do Not Disturb functionality; dark mode on the car UI is now independent from the phone; bug fixes; and other improvements.” It seems like developer teams aren’t focusing on highlighting the features of the entertainment system.

However, there is some new development underway for the application; according to the official announcement by Google, it is working to restructure the function and is all set to allow more application support for the system, which indicates that you will have a fresh set of applications in the upcoming updates.

For your information, Android Auto is packed with a lot of features that enable users to easily use them in car displays that already exist in smartphones. For instance, you can use several messaging applications, attend meetings, and enjoy infotainment services like weather reports, video streaming, and music streaming.

So if you want to stay ahead in terms of new features and development in Android Auto, then you should keep the application up-to-date. To do that, you just need to go to the Google Play Store, search for Android Auto, and if you receive any updates, tap on the update button. Alternatively, you can also sideload the application from external sources.
