Samsung dropped May 2024 security update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series in the US

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are getting a new update in the US. With the latest update, the Korean giant will improve the overall security of the devices, which will bring some enhancements to their internal functions.

More specifically, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are getting new updates on locked versions with the version numbers T878USQS8DXE1 and T978USQS8DXE1, respectively. The device is spotted getting the update on many carriers, including T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, and Sprint. It is expected that the device will soon receive an update on more carriers.

According to the documentation, the May 2024 security patch doesn’t bring any significant updates for the devices, but it will provide some new changes under the internal functions, which will ultimately improve the overall performance of the devices.

Moreover, the update may also provide some new changes for the system that will make your device work more smoothly, and it may also address some issues to properly grab the update.

If you are using the locked variant of the Galaxy Tab S7 series, then you can check the update of your device by following some simple steps: First, go to the system settings, then tap on the software update menu. Here,  select the download and install button. If the update is available, then tap on the download button.
