The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is first in line to take the floor in 2025, expected to bring a huge performance boost, the latest UFS 4.1 speeds, new AI tools, a decent design, an upgraded camera arrangement, and more.

It’s early to discuss the Galax S25 series, which will include three variants: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Leaks and rumors are blowing in the market regarding this upcoming flagship series. Now the new report says Samsung could support the latest UFS 4.1 speeds for the Galaxy S25 Ultra

If this report comes true, then the Galaxy S25 will be the first phone with UFS 4.1 storage, leading to faster performance than the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is being speculated by a tipster on who shared a post suggesting UFS 4.1 support. However, it is yet to be clear whether the new upgrade applies to other Galaxy S25 models besides the Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy devices should need faster specs since the brand pushes more on-device AI capabilities to its phones, which ask for better RAM, instant processors, and, of course, faster storage. As more leaks emerge, a more detailed picture of how Samsung plans to accommodate the extra performance needs will come to light, but UFS 4.1 seems like a good step.

Reportedly, UFS 4.1 storage could offer a minor improvement over UFS 4.0. Somewhere, it seems like a temporary upgrade until the major jump to UFS 5.0 in 2027. However, UFS 4.0 is much faster, as it offers write speeds of up to 4200 MP per second. On the other hand, UFS 3.1 delivers 1,200 MB per second. It’s also worth noting that it was reported that the Galaxy S24 would get UFS 4.1, which unfortunately didn’t happen.

Despite daily phone tasks, UFS 4.1’s benefit lies in boosting AI tools. The faster storage will permit AI algorithms to access data faster, leading to instant responses and generation.
