Samsung is busily setting up to announce a bunch of Galaxy devices at the next Galaxy Unpacked event in early July, and among those devices, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to bring minor improvements. The new leak reveals a few details regarding the battery and connectivity specs of the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6, along with its model number SM-F741B, made its appearance on the FCC certificationa few hours ago. The model number hints at the global variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. This document has revealed the battery, charging, and connectivity details of the phones.

According to the documentation, it has two batteries, which are mentioned below:

  • EB-BF7414ABY: 1,097 mAh and EB-BF742ABY: 2,790 mAh

Both of the batteries are manufactured by ATL, and previous reports have revealed that their combined battery capacity is 3,887 mAh. This is the rated battery capacity of the phone, and its marketed capacity will likely be 4,000 mAh.

The certification also reveals that it features GPS, 5G (mmWave and sub-6GHz bands), Wi-Fi b/g/n/a/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth, and NFC. This means the upcoming Flip phone will not support Wi-Fi 7. Its charging has been tested by using the EP-TA800 charger, a 25W USB PD charger with PPS.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 expected features

It is quite possible that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 would use the same design as the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It is expected to feature a 3.4-inch OLED cover screen and a 6.7-inch OLED foldable screen, along with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It isn’t clear if the cover screen will have a high refresh rate. The brand could power it with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, and the memory package could count up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

It will run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 software out of the box and get seven years of Android OS security updates. It could feature an IPX8 rating and stereo speakers.
