The Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which includes three variants—the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra—is first in line to debut in early 2025. The Ultra variant of the series is expected to bring significant camera upgrades.

Even before any official announcement, leaks and rumors have already revealed some of the camera specifications of the Galaxy S25 series. According to a new report by GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S25 will feature a 50MP primary rear camera. On the flip side, the device will use the same 12 MP front camera as its predecessors, the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S24.

The 50MP primary camera and the 12MP selfie camera will also be used for the Galaxy S25+. whereas the ultra variant of the series is expected to feature a camera setup that includes a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

Previously, it was rumored that the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra feature the Exynos 2500 chip in most markets and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor in China and the USA. Now the new report says that similar to the Galaxy S23 series, the upcoming Galaxy S25 series will also use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor since Samsung foundry is facing yield-related issues in the mass production of the Exynos 2500, so Samsung will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip in all the countries.

All three phones will likely run Android 15-based OneUI 7.1 out of the box. Samsung will promise seven years of Android OS and security patches to this series and could also bring a bunch of Galaxy AI features. Reportedly, the Galaxy S25 could have a 4,000mAh battery, the Galaxy S25+ could have a 4,900mAh battery, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra could have a 5,000mAh battery.

Galaxy S24 Ultra to Capture Exclusive Footage at Paris 2024 Olympics

Published

Samsung Electronics is collaborating with Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic to offer unique footage using the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Olympic enthusiasts get ready for an extreme viewing experience at the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony on the Seine River and sailing competitions like never before. At the event, Samsung will render its advanced mobile technology and 5G connectivity to offer a closer perspective of these icons’ celebratory and competition moments.

The Korean giant is convinced that its Galaxy smartphones help people connect with the world more deeply. Transparently, Samsung is a long-time Olympic partner, and now it is quite excited to bring the recently launched Galaxy S24 Ultra to capture unique footage for the Paris 2024 Games. This will surely add an extra layer of enhancement to the viewing experience.

Within a month, the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place outside of a stadium for the first time. Paris 2024 will see 10,500 athletes float down the Seine River in designated boats for each national delegation. The aim behind this is to be the most open and accessible opening ceremony in history.

Samsung is adding a novelty at the event by mounting over 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra phones on the athlete boats, offering a close-up view of the athletes and the Parisian scenery. Undoubtedly, the smartphones will capture extreme premium HDR footage of the boat parade. Noticeably, a special 5G network will be set up along the Seine to deliver streaming of the footage to viewers worldwide. This will be the first-ever standalone 5G network in France.

Weather conditions can be tough during sailing competitions, with strong winds, big waves, and scorching sun. To record premium-quality video and uninterrupted streaming, the Korean giant utilized the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s built-in OIS, boosted transmission power for the signal, and set up relay towers on boats to deliver a smooth connection. Samsung has offered more than 120,000 smartphones to athletes and staff since 1998.

Samsung to depend on Snapdragon completely for Entire Lineup of Galaxy S25 series

Published

Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S25 series is supposed to be scheduled for early 2025. The giant is expected to power the entire series with one processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Samsung has already done this with the Galaxy S23 series, which was entirely based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Now again, for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series, the Korean giant could completely depend on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4

According to a tipster on X, Samsung might exclusively use a Snapdragon SoC in the Galaxy S25 series. The Snapdragon chipset powers the recently launched Galaxy S24 series’ Ultra variant, but the rest of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus use Exynos in particular markets, including Europe, Africa, and Asian markets.

Qualcomm’s share in the Galaxy S24 series is nearly 40%, and the rest of the 60% goes to Exynos. Given a lower-than-expected 3nm yield, Samsung hardly brings the Exynos 2500 processor. It comes as a quite surprising development for Galaxy fans. The tipster mentioned that Qualcomm will likely be the sole SoC supplier for the Samsung Galaxy S25 (vs. 40% for the S24), as the Exynos 2500 may not ship due to Samsung’s lower-than-expected 3nm yield.

If the report is to be believed, regardless of specific regional markets, the upcoming Galaxy S25 will potentially use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 gen 4 due to the doubt about Exynos’ situation. However, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 likely raises expenses by up to 25–30% because of a new high-end CPU design and a cutting-edge manufacturing process by TSMC.
