
Samsung has rolled out the August 2024 security patch to many Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S20 FE. Still, these devices have only received the update in some units in the US and Europe, respectively. Now, more carrier-locked devices are receiving the August 2024 update.

The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S20 FE are spotted getting new security patches on Verizon. For identification, the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 ultra are getting new updates with firmware version numbers S901USQS6EXG8, S906USQS6EXG8, and S908USQS6EXG8, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 FE is getting the same security patch update with the firmware version number G781VSQSGHXG1.
Don’t be too excited, and it’s just a security patch
The August 2024 update for the Galaxy devices is coming as a simple security patch which doesn’t bring any visual changes, but it will internally strengthen the security of your device; along with this, it may also address some extra improvements to improve the overall performance and stability of the devices.
