Samsung is constantly expanding the August 2024 security patch for eligible Galaxy devices. Now, with the latest development, the older Galaxy foldables Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have started getting the August 2024 update in Canada.

Samsung has rolled out the August 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Canada with the firmware version numbers F936WVLS6FXGJ and F721WVLS6FXGJ, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are getting the same update with the firmware version numbers F926WVLS7IXG6 and F711WVLS8IXG6, respectively.
Wait for One UI 6.1.1 for major changes
The August 2024 security patch is a general security patch for the Galaxy device, which doesn’t bring any major changes for the foldables but in the coming days, the company will provide some important features for the foldables with the One UI 6.1.1 devices.
If you are using any of the above-mentioned older Galaxy foldables devices in Canada, then you can now easily check the update by following the traditional methods that apply to every Galaxy device. First, go to the software update menu from the system settings. Here, tap on the download and update option. If it shows new update available, then tap on the download button
