One UI 6.1.1 Removes ‘Auto Rotate Widgets’ from Galaxy Devices

As expected, Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 update brings dozens of new features and improvements. Apart from offering new novelties, it also removes a few features from the older version; for instance, the “Auto rotate widgets.”
Samsung is actively rolling out the Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 update to its eligible Galaxy devices. Without any notice, the company removes ‘Auto rotate widgets’ in Smart Widgets with this update.
It is speculated by a post on Reddit (Via – SamMobile) shared by a user that revealed that right after installing the One UI 6.1.1 update on their Galaxy smartphone, they found that the ‘Auto rotate widget’ option vanished. A few users say the feature doesn’t work seamlessly as it never rotates widgets, while other users find it quite convenient.
The reason behind removing the widget is not clear yet, but it seems that the tech giant removed it because it didn’t work properly. However, the company should have fixed the feature rather than removing it. However, instead of removing the widget, the company should have fixed it.
Noticeably, it’s quite possible that Samsung removed ‘Auto rotate widgets’ with an update to Samsung Home rather than with One UI 6.1.1.
