Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera rings could be thinner than iPhone 16 Pro Max

Samsung Galaxy S25 is hardly half a year away from taking the floor. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to feature thinner camera rings as compared to the newly launched Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Samsung is supposed to debut the upcoming Galaxy S25 series in early 2025. Leaks and rumours are already shouting out to reveal the design and specifications of the series. Now a new report claims that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have thinner camera rings than those of the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

A well-respected tipster, Ice Universe, shared a post on X, revealing the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera thickness, which is 2.4mm. On the comparison side, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s camera thickness is 4.3mm, which is way more than the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Apart from the thickness and jumping on the camera performance, it’s expected that the Galaxy S25 Utlra’s rear camera should be similar to its rival, the iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra’s thinner camera ring suggests that Samsung is actively working on the camera setup.

The leaked renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have already revealed the first look of the device, according to which the waistline is just 8.2mm, making it 0.4mm thinner as compared to its predecessor and 0.1mm than its rival iPhone 16 Pro Max. The thinner camera rings could play a key role in the slimmer design of Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone.
