Samsung clarifies that GIF feature within Smart Select Edge panel to make a comeback in early October

When the One UI 6.1.1 update was introduced, Galaxy users were delighted by experiencing the heaps of new and more improved features, including the Galaxy AI, productivity, and health-focused features. Meanwhile, Samsung fans have been facing several sorts of inconvenience as well, with the most recent one being the removal of GIF creator from the Smart Select Edge Panel, which is making a comeback in early October.
A revamped structure of the Smart Select Panel is introduced that allows users to gather all the Galaxy AI features at the top edge, and this theme was applied with the One UI 6.1.1 build for the first time.
However, the GIF creation feature created a few inconveniences, resulting in its removal, and is now being reviewed in order to implement it within the Smart Select panel.
Recently, Samsung significantly clarified that, is working on finding some best possible ways to implement the GIF creation feature within the Smart Select Panel again by the end of September and will release the implementation as an app update in early October this year.
Accompanied by the app update, the official further stated that this update will significantly improve the overall accessibility, help in fixing certain functions, and add some required improvements to the functionality of the GIF feature.
Basically, it was very tough to implement the existing GIF functionality within the Smart Select Panel directly as the structure has been revamped, but the new method is under process. It will take some time to implement as the method will be prepared in several phases so that users could get the GIF function within the smart panel as soon as possible while also not losing the overall app’s stability.
