One UI 7 and Android 15 To Enhance Trackpad Gestures on Galaxy Tablets

Google is about to release the stable version of Android 15, which will improve the experience of using a keyboard and trackpad accessories with tablets. The update will bring a noticeable tap-and-drag gesture for tablets with keyboard and trackpad accessories. Meanwhile, Samsung is also gearing up for the Android 15-based One UI 7.

Samsung with the One UI 7 could adopt Android 15’s tap and drag gestures for its Galaxy tablets with a keyboard and trackpad accessory. The company’s high-end tablets can be used like desktop computers via DeX and keyboard accessories.

Android 15-based One UI 7 may add new trackpad gestures, including tap dragging, to enhance the dragging and dropping of items quite easily. However, this feature has already been introduced for tablets running Android 14 QPR3, which allows you to drag and drop items.

Noticeably, users already have the option to move an item and drag it using their fingers. Now the new Tap Draggin option will let you move and drag the item easily. However, this new feature is compatible with trackpads that support gestures.

While connecting a gesture-compatible touchpad to an Android tablet running Android 15, you can easily access Android’s touchpad-specific settings by following a few simple steps: go to Settings >> System >> Touchpad.

However, Samsung has yet to release the One UI 7 beta; it will be interesting to see whether it will adopt this new convenient option.
