When Google issued a serious warning that claimed that sideloading of the Android apps could be dangerous amidst several malware risks, Samsung right after reacted to the warning actively and released a new security function called Auto Blocker that restricts the sideloading of the apps by default. But the problem doesn’t end here, as Epic Games announced to file a lawsuit against Samsung and Google.

With Samsung taking a significant lead and Google following the same restrictions for sideloading of Android apps, Epic Games alleges Samsung and Google are making it difficult to disable or bypass the sideloading restrictions by making it by default via Auto Blocker.

Epic Games Chief Executive Tim Sweeney just officially announced that a lawsuit will be filed in the US federal court in California, asserting that Samsung has brought a new security feature, Auto Blocker, which is intentionally preventing users from downloading Android apps from outer sources except from the Google Play Store and Samsung’s Galaxy Store.

He further claimed that Samsung and Google are breaching the US antitrust laws by snatching customers’s choice to download apps from anywhere other than their respective app stores. Chief consider this lawsuit as part of a “crucial global fight” to protect consumers benefits.

Moreover, Samsung made this side loading restriction by default via the Auto Blocker feature in order to protect users from installing the app that might contain malware, to which Epic Games considered this a proper violation of US laws, making it difficult for the users to download apps from certain outer sources and not from the Play Store and Samsung’s Galaxy Store.
