Samsung Galaxy S25 Expected to Leverage Dimensity Chip for Gemini Nano’s Multimodal Compatibility

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is first in line to debut in 2025, which is expected to feature Gemini Nano’s multimodal functionality.
Gemini Nano is Google’s latest AI model, which is available on particular Google Pixel smartphones and improves features like Pixel Screenshots, Talkback, and Pixel Recorder.
According to a new report, the exclusive Gemini Nano could make its way to the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. MediaTek announced that its high-end Dimesity 9400 chipset, which will launch this month, will be “optimized for Google Gemini Nano with Multimodality.”
Dimensity 9400 will be MediaTek’s first chipset to support multimodal Gemini Nano. The company also assured that “other Generative AI-enabled chipsets” that arrive soon will support the advanced on-device model too. MediaTek has not mentioned any particular device that will use the new chipset. According to Google’s DeepMind blog the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are possible candidates. A post on X, shared by @negativeonehero, also suggests this report.
Google DeepMind’s blog post suggests that AlphaChip is being used by MediaTek, which is using the technology to accelerate the development of their advanced chips, including the Dimensity Flagship 5G used in Samsung smartphones. Meanwhile, Samsung used the Dimensity 9300+ chipset to power its Galaxy Tab S10 series. This suggests that the company could go with the Dimensity chips for its coming Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+.
