Samsung Ends Software Updates for Two more Galaxy Devices

Samsung has finally detailed the latest October 2024 Android security bulletin, where the company has released the details regarding plenty of security-related vulnerabilities alongside several security patches from both Google and Samsung. Meanwhile, Samsung has entirely ended the security software support for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G and Galaxy Tab A7.
The newest October 2024 security bulletin is the significant part of Samsung’s Security Maintenance Release for Android OS-related security issues released by Google and patches for Samsung-specific security issues.
Samsung Stops Software Updates for Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G and Galaxy Tab A7
Meanwhile, Samsung always reviews the list of security update lists of Galaxy models and changes it periodically. Thus, amidst this latest change, the company has now totally ended the support of a few of its older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G and Galaxy Tab A7, which means these models are not applicable to receive any further software updates in the future.
Like other Android partners, Samsung has always been consistent with its software update policy and has carefully placed Galaxy phones and tablets in categories, including monthly, quarterly, and biannual firmware security update lists, on the basis of their minimum software update period. Likewise, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G and Galaxy Tab A7 have now reached the end of their minimum software support, thus ending their firmware support.
Meanwhile, Samsung has also added the Galaxy S24 FE and the Galaxy S10 series within the Android security update list.
Galaxy A52s 5G (Enterprise model) frequency changed:
By contrast, the company has further changed the frequency of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G (Enterprise model), which was earlier in the monthly security update list and is now transferred to the quarterly security update list. Hence, this clearly means that from now on, the Galaxy A52s 5G (Enterprise model) will receive four software updates in a year.
