Samsung unveils Galaxy A16 5G with six years of major Android OS updates support

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G finally made its existence on the Netherlands’ official site. The device features a decent design, great specifications, and a long-lasting six years of software support.
After crossing long leaks and rumors, finally, the Galaxy A16 5G is official. Samsung promised to offer six years of software support to the device. It is the ever-first mid-range Galaxy device to receive six major Android OS updates.
The device features a 6.7-inch 90Hz Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. The front side houses a 13MP camera for selfies. Samsung offered a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. To add an extra layer of protection, it has an IP54 rating.
It is powered by an Exynos 1330 processor. The memory package includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and support for 1.5TB microSD cards. The device runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1 out of the box. Samsung assured to offer six years of software support; this means that it will receive six major Android OS updates up to Android 20 and security patches till 2023.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G costs €229, which seems satisfied as looking at its features. It’s expected that soon the company will expand the availability of the Galaxy A16 5G widely.
