One UI 7 Could Bring Google’s Home Controls Features to Samsung Devices

Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 is on the way to upgrade the overall system software. The update is expected to adopt a few of Android 15’s features of Home Controls.

Samsung recently confirmed that it will release the One UI 7 public beta; however, the exact timeline is not revealed. The beta version for the developer will be released by the end of this year, and the stable version is already scheduled for next year.

Since Samsung’s One UI 7 is based on Android 15, it could adopt convenient features from it; for instance, weather information in Home Controls. Android 15 beta 3 introduces a new feature named Home Controls, a screensaver that permits users to control Google Home devices when the device is inactive and charging. It displays the current time, categories such as camera, lighting, and Wi-Fi, and favorited Google Home controls. Google plans to add the current temperature and weather conditions to this feature.

Android 15 to introduce a dedicated tutorial for the gestures. Usually, users do not know about the touchpad gestures available on Android devices. To address this issue, Google has introduced a dedicated tutorial. It will offer custom animations to visually demonstrate how to use the touchpad gestures. However, Samsung has not released any information to adopt these features, but it’s expected that with the One UI 7, it could adopt this.
