Samsung has always focused on offering the best possible functionality via its Galaxy phones, while it’s among the best Android brands in terms of innovations. However, Galaxy phones lag behind in some aspects, but there’s good news for the Galaxy audience as they are getting a dedicated Quick Settings tile of Google Wallet soon.

After a long wait, finally, Samsung Galaxy phones are getting the highly-awaited Google Wallet Quick Settings Tile widely.

Unlike other Android devices, Samsung phones have waited for so long to get the Google Wallet shortcut that significantly allows users to quickly access Google Wallet directly from the Quick Settings with just a single tap. This newest Wallet app’s shortcut icon is much more simplified; tapping on it gets you directed to the full app UI.

The new Google Wallet app shortcut on Galaxy devices has now begun to roll out widely, updating the Google Play Services to the latest stable version (v24.39), while making sure to update the Google Wallet app to its newer firmware version (v24.38).

What’s more is that this newest Google Wallet app shortcut works best when you want to just tap and pay; however, users need to launch the Wallet app if they want to use something else other than the shortcut default card. To add more to shortcut’s functionality, Google Wallet now supports the addition of more kinds of passes, including personal or financial IDs and more.

Finally, Google’s latest addition of the Google Wallet app shortcut as a dedicated Quick Settings Tile will ultimately be a sweet treat for the Samsung Galaxy owners who have been waiting for so long to get this functionality for more enhanced convenience and ease.
