US carrier-locked Galaxy S23 series receives October 2024 security update

Samsung is continuously delivering the October 2024 security update to its Galaxy devices. Soon after the Galaxy S24 lineup, the company has finally started providing the update to the 2023 flagships, the Galaxy S23 series, in the US. 

The October 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra is now available in the US market on carriers, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Comcast, USCellular, and DishWireless. 

Meanwhile, the update for the Galaxy S23 series can be identified with the S911USQS4CXI4S916USQS4CXI4, and S918USQS4CXI4 firmware versions. 

Feature-wise, the October 2024 security update is a normal security patch that comes with several security-related bug fixes and other flaws. The update brings plenty of key improvements to the device’s overall security to provide a more safe and secure environment to the users, all while keeping the device protected from external harms. 

Additionally, the update further introduces several key enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, resolves some known issues, brings stability to the device’s behavior, optimizes the device’s performance, fixes certain bugs, and applies the latest security patches in order to provide a more smooth, stable, and optimized software performance to the users. 

Moreover, Samsung has started distributing the October security patch for the Galaxy S23 owners in the US market, while it should follow the other eligible regions soon.
