Samsung Health app has a “Together Feature,” which lets you compete with friends. Noticeably, this feature will no longer be available for users under 18 in the US.

Samsung offered the Together feature within its Samsung Health app, which allows users to compete with others or even join global challenges to make working out more fun. The aim behind introducing this feature seems to be to make workouts more fun when you do them with someone else, or when you compete, it motivates you to win.

Previously, all users were eligible to use this feature. Now users who are under 18 can’t use this feature from October 23, 2024. Samsung announced that from October 23, the Together feature in Samsung Health with version number v.628 will no longer be accessible for under 18 users in the US.

Due to this restriction, the Challenges and Global Challenges on My page will no longer be available

The Together feature permits users to create individual or team challenges to see who can go the farthest or get there first. Users can invite their friends, join global challenges, and view challenge status to motivate users towards their workout. In a way, it’s a useful feature, but it could be dangerous, especially for under-18 users, since there are not enough sensible, and instead of taking challenges as motivation, they can take it as a fight and can harm themselves mistakenly. However, the official reason behind this step has yet to be clear.
