Samsung is gradually expanding the October 2024 security update to its Galaxy devices; however, the release timeframe may vary by devices and their regions. After covering other major regions, Samsung has started pushing the security patch for the Galaxy S23 line and Galaxy S23 FE in Asia.
The October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S23 FE is now available in some Asian countries, including India and Malaysia.
Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra have the S911BXXS6CXI4, S916BXXS6CXI4, and S918BXXS6CXI4 firmware versions, while having an update size of 447.20 MB.
On the other hand, the Fan Edition model, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, is also getting the same update that can be identified with the S711BXXS5DXI3 build number.
Feature-wise, this minor security update significantly brings several improvements to the device’s security while also improving its functionality, resolving some known issues, and fixing certain bugs and other flaws to offer a more safe and secure environment to the users and protect devices from external harm.
