The Samsung Galaxy S25 series’ chipset is the talk of the town and one of the most confusing topics to talk about. Now Samsung has allegedly placed more orders for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, hinting at powering the Galaxy S25 series.
The leaks and rumors for so long have been blowing around Exynos, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, and MediaTek chipsets to power the Galaxy S25 series. Initially, it was rumored that the entire Galaxy S25 series will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The other reports suggested that Samsung could ditch the Snapdragon. However, Samsung hasn’t released any official statement regarding this.
Now the new report suggests that the forthcoming Galaxy S25 lineup could exclusively run the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 globally. Samsung has allegedly placed more orders for the coming Qualcomm processor than last year. According to the report of renowned industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, also known as the Snapdragon 8 Elite, has seen increased orders from the Korean behemoth.
The company has already confirmed the development of the Exynos 2500 chip, but its yield rate has been an issue. Meanwhile, other reports suggest that the company could use the MediaTek chipset to power the Galaxy S25 FE in late 2025, with the Galaxy S25 flagship series running the Qualcomm processor globally. It remains to see exactly which chipset Samsung will use to power the Galaxy S25.
