Samsung is kind of increasing its speed in delivering the October 2024 security update to its eligible Galaxy models, while a handful of them have already been protected with this month’s security patch. Now, the focus has now shifted to the Galaxy 2021 phones, the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, as these units are getting the update in the US alongside the Galaxy A14 5G.
The October 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup has started rolling out in the US on the Verizon network and will be expanded soon to other regions.
Meanwhile, the security patch for the carrier-locked Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra has the G991USQSDGXJ2, G996USQSDGXJ2, and G998USQSDGXJ2 firmware versions. On the other side, the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G units are also receiving the same update and come with the A146USQS9DXI2 build number.
As per the security patch details, the October 2024 security update is bundled up with plenty of improvements for the device’s overall security, resolves known issues, fixes certain bugs and flaws, and applies fixes to a lot of security-related vulnerabilities to offer a more safe and secure Galaxy experience to the users while also protecting the device from external threats.
In addition, the update further marks the inclusion of a handful of relevant enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, brings stability to the system behavior, adds certain performance optimizations, and delivers much improved features in order to allow users to have a smooth, stable, secure, and optimized software experience.
