Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra get secure with October 2024 security update in Europe

Samsung is rolling out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in some European countries; it’s currently spotted in Germany.

The October 2024 security update for the 4G and 5G units of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in Europe should soon reach the other eligible regions.

The N980FXXSEHXJ1 and N985FXXSEHXJ1 firmware versions identify the update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra (4G), and the N981BXXSEHXJ1 and N986BXXSEHXJ1 build numbers indicate the update for the 5G variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

According to the changelog, this October 2024 security update doesn’t carry any major features or changes; instead, it’s simply a bug-fixing patch. It significantly brings some important improvements to the device’s overall security, fixes some bugs and other flaws while also fixing all the security-related vulnerabilities in order to provide a more safe and secure environment to the users and protects their devices from various external threats. 

Additionally, the security patch further adds plenty of relevant enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, brings stability to the system behavior, optimizes the overall performance, delivers much improved features, and applies the latest security patches to offer a more smooth, stable, and optimized software experience to the Galaxy users.
