Samsung adds Home Insights, Routine category and more via the latest SmartThings update
Samsung observed the SDC24 keynote in early October to unveil the possibilities of the future that’s all powered by AI, while the company also revealed the latest features of SmartThings that significantly rely on AI. Meanwhile, right after the newer features announcement, Samsung has started delivering a new update to the SmartThings app.
The SmartThings app significantly allows users to quickly and easily connect and control their smart home devices. On the contrary, in order to offer more smoother and better smart home services, several new features have begun rolling out via the latest version.
Samsung SmartThings’ latest and much improved version can be identified with the v1.8.21.28 version. Meanwhile, according to the changelog, Samsung has added some new features to the app; these features include the Favorites tab, which has now been changed to the Home tab; the Home tab has now improved and will offer users a wide range of insight messages.
Further, the new Routines category and daily routines have been added to allow users to have more quick and improved insights for their daily routines; also, with this newest update, the SmartThings app now seamlessly supports the automatic hub backup capability.
Moreover, as mentioned in SDC24 proceedings, Samsung aims to offer new and much improved home insights that are significantly tailored to their regular smart home experience combined with the extreme power of AI, while it will also offer timely home reports with respect to the users’ regular usage patterns, preferences, and personalizations.
Hence, the newer update for the SmartThings app has already started rolling out; thus, users can easily download the latest version via the Galaxy Store in order to experience the AI-powered features and to have a seamless user experience.
