Samsung is gearing up to introduce its ever-first 5G smartphone in the budget-able Galaxy A0x series named Galaxy A06 5G.

The key aim behind this step is to offer affordable 5G connectivity to users, especially those who prefer simple and basic smartphones within their budget. Samsung started the Galaxy A0x series in 2019 by debuting the Galaxy A01 smartphone with 4G connectivity.

The recently launched latest device in the series is the Galaxy A06, launched this year in August with LTE technology. Samsung only introduced 4G variant smartphones under the Galaxy A0 series; now finally it is looking forward to introducing a 5G variant.

According to a report from Gizmochina, Samsung is developing its cheapest 5G smartphone, the Galaxy A06 5G. The device has been spotted with the model numbers SM-A066B/DS and A066M/DS.

The coming A06 5G variant is expected to feature almost similar specifications as its predecessor 4G variant. Currently, there are no exact details regarding the coming smartphone, but based on the 4G specs, we can assume that the device could feature a 6.7-inch display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution.

The Galaxy A06 4G is powered by the Mediatek Helio G85 based on a 12nm process; it remains to see whether the company will use the same processor or go with the new one. Reportedly, the confirmed release date has yet to be finalized, but the company is expected to share more details soon.
