Samsung to use Qualcomm chips to power its home appliances

Samsung is setting up to use Qualcomm’s chipsets in its home appliances to add more power to the gadgets and improve their capabilities.
The Korean tech giant is showcasing its reliance on Qualcomm chipsets by expanding its use of Qualcomm chips beyond smartphones. Reportedly, Samsung is considering using the Snapdragon chipsets in its home appliances.
The reason behind this step seems to be to upgrade the capabilities of the appliances to potentially upgrade their capabilities and negotiate better chip prices. According to the report from SEDaily, it’s being speculated that Samsung is pushing to install Qualcomm’s application processor chips in home appliances.
The company usually uses low-performance chips from China or Taiwan in its home appliances. Now it is looking forward to taking an advanced step by powering its home appliances with Qualcomm’s chips to enhance their capabilities and fulfill the increased demand for AI-powered features and faster connectivity in smart home devices.
The first such appliances will be premium AI Family Hub series refrigerators. It’s expected the company has used an advanced Qualcomm chip in its flagship robotic vacuum cleaner, the Jet Bot Combo AI.
Recently, it has also been reported that the forthcoming flagship lineup of the Galaxy S25, which includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, will also be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
Since there are no official words on whether Samsung will use Qualcomm’s chip to power its home appliances, it remains to see if the report comes true.
