Android might get the feature to easily revert the floating accessibility button

Google is developing a new feature that will allow Android phones to revert the Floating Accessibility button; however, it’s currently spotted on the source code of Android 15.

Apparently, (via Android Authority), a new feature is probably on the way to the Android owners that will help to bring back the floating accessibility button when it’s dismissed by tapping the notification.

Basically, the Android’s accessibility menu, which can be launched either by turning on the volume key shortcut or enabling the accessibility button; it’s like a small circle that can be easily customized according to the user’s preference and gets transparent automatically to allow users to see their phone’s screen.

Meanwhile, Google is developing the leaked feature under a code labeled “Drag To Hide,” which is disabled by default in Android 15. Nevertheless, by forcefully enabling it in Android 15 in order to view how the notification pops up while dismissing the floating accessibility button.

A single tap on the notification that pops up when the user dismisses the floating button will bring back the menu; however, this feature is not live yet and is hidden under the source code of Android 15. Also, it might be frustrating when the floating accessibility menu gets dismissed and users will be required to go through Settings to bring the button back. 

Lastly, Google is currently undergoing development with this new feature to bring back the floating accessibility button; it might perform certain changes within the functionality. Meanwhile, the company could bring the feature to Android devices, including Samsung phones, probably with Android 15 QPR2 beta or with Android 16.
