Samsung is already working on adding a new smartphone in its mid-tier A-series, the Galaxy A56, with several leaks and rumors indicating its existence. Meanwhile, the company has already unveiled that the device will feature the latest in-house Exynos 1580 chip; a new indication has surfaced that Samsung might be planning for a charging upgrade, beginning with the forthcoming Galaxy A56.

Yes! That’s true. Spotted via Jukanlosreve, the newer Samsung Galaxy A56 with the SM-A5660 model number has just surfaced in China’s certification database, revealing its charging upgrade from 25W to 45W capacity support.

The listings suggest the maximum charging capacity of 45W for the Galaxy A56, which is relatively huge and has better charging ability than 25W. While Samsung usually offers 25W charging support to its mid-range Galaxy models, it appears like the company is taking inspiration from Galaxy S24’s 45W fast charging capacity and is all set to deliver the same charging numbers to the Galaxy A-series phones, beginning from Galaxy A56.

Earlier reports suggest that Samsung’s in-house and newer Exynos 1580 SoC is booked to feature the Galaxy A56, which is based on a 4 nm EUV FinFET process, while the numbers of this chipset are quite impressive. In contrast, previously, the chipset was made to power the Galaxy S25 series, but ditching Exynos’ Snapdragon 8 Elite comes to light as now Qualcomm’s powerhouse will be featured in the S25.

Lastly, it’s interesting that Samsung is planning to upgrade the charging capacity for its mid-tier Galaxy phones as well, which will definitely add a little more to its existing yet exceptional functionality.
