As we are heading towards the end of November, Samsung has increased the speed of rolling out the November 2024 security update for its Galaxy devices. The update has already hit the Galaxy S22 units alongside the Galaxy S23 FE in the Canadian market; the company is now expanding the security update for the devices to the US region.
The November 2024 security update for the carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra is now available on several carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Dish Wireless, and Comcast in the US, while carrying the S901USQS7EXK4, S906USQS7EXK4, and S908USQS7EXK4 firmware versions.
On the opposite side, the carrier-locked (on Verizon and US Cellular) Samsung Galaxy S23 FE units are also getting the same update, which can be identified with the S711USQS6CXK5 firmware version.
According to the changelog, the November security update for the Galaxy S22 units (and not for the Galaxy S23 FE) has arrived with a new feature, Auto Blocker, which, when enabled with the maximum restrictions, does not permit Galaxy devices to connect to the USB devices for transferring information and additional safety, but the USB devices can only be used for charging purposes.
Alternatively, on Samsung’s end, the Android security update for the month of November significantly brings several fixes for all the security-related vulnerabilities to offer a secure experience for the users while also protecting their devices against external threats.
It further adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, brings system performance optimizations, and applies the latest security patches for a smooth, stable, and optimized user experience.
