Samsung is still working on Android 15-based One UI 7, whereas Google has already made Android 15 official but is testing a new feature to enhance the lock screen that Samsung might bring with the stable One UI 7.

According to Android Authority, Google’s developers’ team is still working on enhancing Android 15 as it is testing a new feature called “Lock Screen notification minimalism” to upgrade the lock screen and notifications.

The new “Lock Screen notification minimalism” is spotted in the Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 code, which, once enabled, will be available within the Settings menu, in the Notifications section. Reportedly the feature will showcase fewer notifications on the lock screen; however, currently, it’s yet to deliver proper functionality and work smoothly & seamlessly.

The aim of offering the lock screen notification minimalism feature is to hide everything except the app icons on which the notification arrived. Once you enable this feature, it only shows the app icon in a small pill under the clock, and to expand it you need to tap.

On the other side, Samsung is already working on Android 15, so it could be possible that it could adopt this feature with the upcoming One UI 7. However, there are no official words regarding this, but it could be possible.

The new report has claimed that Samsung will start the One UI 7 beta program in mid-December for the Galaxy S24 series.
