One UI 7 Update to Remove Support for Edge Panel Downloads
Samsung One UI 7 will bring dozens of new features, improvements, changes, and more new novelties, but also snatch support for Edge Panel downloads from the Galaxy Store.
One UI 7 is full of pleasant surprises, but it’s anticipated to remove support for Edge Panel download from Galaxy Store. This means that you will no longer be able to download directly from Galaxy Store.
A few days ago the brand had already released a termination notice and informed Galaxy device users that they would no longer be able to acquire and download Edge Panels from the Galaxy Store on devices running One UI 7 or later.
Currently, you can easily navigate to Edge Panel settings and tap a “Galaxy Store” button to view an Edge Panels storefront, where a few free and paid Edge Panels are available. However, this dedicated section of the Galaxy Store will no longer be available in the upcoming Android 15-based One UI 7 and future versions.
Regarding this, the company stated that even though you won’t be able to acquire and download new panels. However, the ones that you have already downloaded will remain accessible in the “My Apps” section of the Galaxy Store.
Noticeably, once you install One UI 7, then you won’t be able to re-download Edge Panels after uninstalling them, no matter if you previously purchased them, and it applies to both free & paid. While the Edge Panel feature itself won’t be removed in One UI 7, it’s expected that Samsung could discontinue it later.
