Samsung expands stable One UI 6 Watch for Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro
Samsung began a stable Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch rollout for the Galaxy Watch 6 series two weeks ago that brought about plenty of new features to older Galaxy Watch models. Now, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro owners can rejoice as Samsung expands the stable version rollout in other markets, including Europe.
While the Galaxy Watch 6 series is the first to taste the new stable watch version, it is rolling out in a sequential manner to older Galaxy wearables.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 owners in Europe have begun to report that they have been receiving the stable Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch. At the same time, the update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro (Bluetooth units) can be detected with the CXK1 firmware version while also integrating the October 2024 security patch.
Meanwhile, the key highlight of the latest One UI 6 Watch version is the inclusion of the new features and improvements that combine the power of AI for more personalized insights. It brings a fresh Wear OS and One UI experience for the smartwatches, all while improving the overall performance that significantly leads to a better, more advanced, and more enhanced user experience.
On the opposite side, the update further borrows some new and interesting features of the Watch 7 and Watch Ultra that help users to have excellent performance. These features include more personalized health metrics, effective energy scores, well-maintained health insights, new and improved sleep apnea, suggested replies, and more.
