Stable One UI 6 Watch Now Available for Non-Beta Owners of Galaxy Watch 4 Series

Samsung’s smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra, are powered by the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch. However, the version remained in the beta testing phase for a very long time frame. But now, the stable version has already started rolling out to the other older eligible smartwatches, and the public users of the Watch 4 series are getting the update.

The company announced that the One UI 6 Watch availability will be expanded to more older Galaxy smartwatches, beginning with the Watch 6 series, followed by the Watch 5 series and more.

Right after delivering the stable Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, although it was only limited to the beta testers. Now, all the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic have started getting the stable One UI 6 Watch update in South Korea, carrying the IXK1 firmware version.

At the same time, the latest update brings a lot of new watch styles with more One UI aesthetics to offer a more sophisticated look to the users. It packs more personalized health insights that are powered with Galaxy AI, smart sleep monitoring, and personalized exercise routines for maintaining proper health.

Alternatively, the version further introduces some easy and faster controls, simple and more convenient communication, and adds various other relevant improvements and much-enhanced features while also integrating the October 2024 security patch to offer a smooth, personalized, and secure user experience to the users.

Moreover, the new Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch stable update for all the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic is currently rolling out in South Korea, and it will soon be expanded to more countries in the next coming days.

Discover new watch faces
Express your style with premium watch faces. Iconic graphic numbers stand out with Spatial Number, Simple Digital for users who prefer minimalism, and Ultra Info Board for quick access to workout information. Watch faces can be found in the new recommended watch faces menu in the Galaxy Wearable app, and you can also search for watch faces by keywords including color, style, and complications.

One UI aesthetic improvements
The watch uses buttons, toggles, and other designs that are the same as those on your phone to provide a consistent visual experience. A new font with a more stylish and modern feel is also available. You can use the new font right away by selecting the default font in Settings, and if you are using a different font, you will need to upgrade to One UI 6 Watch.

If you have multiple tasks in progress, such as making a call, exercising, or playing music, tap the icon at the bottom of the watch face. Tap the desired app from the list to go directly to that app.

Not only can you easily return to the previous screen using the newly added gesture, but you can also use the universal gesture immediately without additional actions when a call or alarm rings.

Respond quickly with replies recommended by AI. AI analyzes the received message and generates a reply. The reply is provided when you check the watch message notification and is generated on the phone and safely protected. It can be used by connecting to a phone that has One UI 6.1.1 or higher installed and supports AI reply recommendation.

You no longer have to bother turning on your watch after charging. Try the auto-power-on setting so that your watch turns on while charging.

Automatic connection to a Bluetooth audio device
When you start playing music on your watch, it automatically connects to the Bluetooth headphones or speakers registered to your watch or phone without any additional operation. If there is no Bluetooth audio device to connect, it moves to the audio output screen where you can register a new device or plays through the speaker.
