One UI 7 Update Adds Internet-Based File Sharing to Quick Share
Right before a few weeks of the next Galaxy S25 series launch, Samsung significantly takes the center stage by opening up the long-awaited One UI 7 Beta program for the Galaxy S24 series owners. From an all-new look and design to a redesigned mobile AI platform that offers great personalizations, Galaxy audiences now able to share files over the internet via Quick Share with One UI 7.
Samsung’s Quick Share is a versatile platform that allows Galaxy users to seamlessly share or receive photos, videos, and other files or relevant documents across devices. Now, Quick Share gets a new feature with One UI 7 that will now let users share files over the internet.
Substantially, the Allow Sharing Over Internet feature that’s added within the Quick Share will work when the direct connection to the other device is unavailable or unstable, and this feature will permit Galaxy users to share their files over the internet using a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection instead.
Moreover, you can easily enable the Allow Sharing Over Internet feature by getting into the settings > connected devices > Quick Share and lastly turning on the toggle. With a specific limit set for sharing, you can only share files with your contacts for up to 10GB.
In contrast, borrowing the Quick Share feature from Samsung, Google has also started kicking off the feature to other Android devices more widely. Meanwhile, Google’s Quick Share now integrates the new QR Code function, letting users share files by scanning the QR Codes for secure and effortless sharing across devices.
