One UI 7 Removes Lock Screen Carousel Widget

Samsung released the One UI 7 beta update to the Galaxy S24 series in a few selected regions, removing the lock screen widget carousel in One UI 7.
Samsung has offered dozens of new features, improvements, and tweaks to upgrade the overall system software but has also removed the lock screen widget carousel in One UI 7. With the latest update, the company is simplifying its lock screen widget option by removing the full-size widgets from the carousel and keeping only mini widgets on the lock screen.
According to the report from a random user on Reddit, the “widgets” page was missing while navigating—Settings >> Lock screen and AOD. In the previous version of One UI 6.1.1, users could customize their lock screen with full-size widgets for various applications such as music, weather, calendar, Voice Recorder, Routines, and Digital Wellbeing. All of these widgets were accessible by tapping the clock on the lock screen.

In One UI 6.1.1 and earlier, you can easily access these full-size widgets by clicking the clock on the lock screen. This would hide all other lock screen UI elements and show a vertically scrolling carousel of all the widgets you selected in Settings.
Now in the One UI 7, when you tap on the clock, it will no longer display this carousel and will only show the clock. It remains to be seen whether this new twerk will remain constant in the stable version.
