Right after delivering the Android 15-based One UI 7 version for the Galaxy S24 series in different eligible countries, Samsung immediately reverted back to the December 2024 security update and is rolling it out for other older models, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy S24 FE in South Korea.

The December security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy S24 FE has been released with the detectable versions. The Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra have the S918NKSS5CXKAS918NKSS5CXKA, and S918NKSS5CXKA versions, while the Galaxy S24 FE comes with the S721NKSS2AXK5 build number.

On the opposite side, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 units are also receiving the same update with the F946NKSS4DXKF and F731NKSS4DXKF version numbers.

The latest update significantly addresses various security vulnerabilities alongside fixing other relevant bugs and improvements, with no new features and changes. The update is currently live in Samsung’s home country, and it will expand to other regions shortly. Hence, the update adds stability to the system behaviour to offer a secure and stable user experience while also protecting the device against potential issues.

Alternatively, the update further adds several performance optimizations, adds stability to the system behavior, applies the latest patches, and delivers much-improved features for an efficient, smooth, stable, and optimized user experience.
