Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Rumored to Feature Qi2 Charging with Magnetic Cases

Samsung is to debut the Galaxy S25 series early next year, which is expected to have Qi2 wireless charging support, including a magnetic power profile for magnetic cases.

A couple of days ago it was reported that the Galaxy S25 could feature Qi2 for wireless charging; however, previously it was unclear whether to believe the report. Now a smartphone retailer from Finland accidentally leaked information about the color options of all three variants of the Galaxy S25 series, along with all the official accessories that Samsung will likely launch.

According to the report, the Magnetic Case will eventually work with Qi2 wireless charging and magnetic alignment through Qi2-compatible wireless chargers. potentially, it will also be compatible with other Qi2 or MagSafe accessories like wallets, power banks, and pop grips.

Noticeably, Samsung could ditch Qi2 to support Apple’s MagSafe-like magnetic alignment. The Qi2 is a new wireless charging standard that supports magnetic alignment and accessories. The upcoming Galaxy S25 series is rumored to support Qi2, offering convenience for users of magnetic accessories; however, the maximum charging speed is limited to 15W.

If this report comes true, then the next-generation Galaxy S25 series will support Qi2 wireless charging, whose maximum speed is limited to 15W, which is slower as compared to the standard 25W and 45W wired charging speeds supported by the devices.
