Samsung is rapidly rolling out the December 2024 security update for all of its eligible Galaxy devices. While the update is currently going live for a majority of flagship models, it’s time for the Galaxy A lineup to get the security update. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G units have started getting the update in the US.
Receiving the patch for the first time in any region, the December 2024 security update is now available for the carrier-locked (USCellular) Samsung Galaxy A53 models and has been released carrying the A536USQUDEXKA version number.
The update doesn’t mention any new features or changes; it only addresses certain fixes that consist of patches from both Google and Samsung. The patch is full of various key improvements to the overall system security while also fixing all the vulnerabilities found in the previous version to offer a secure experience to the users and protect the device against potential risks.
On the other hand, the update further adds stability to the system behavior for stable functionality, brings certain performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches, and helps to deliver more improved features that will eventually lead to a more secure, stable, smooth, and optimized user experience.
Moreover, Samsung is currently pushing the update for the Galaxy A53 owners who own carrier-locked models in the US, and it will shortly reach the other eligible regions and carriers.
