Samsung seems to be expanding the reach of the December 2024 security update more widely across the world. Recently, the update finally hit even more older Galaxy devices, as the 4th-gen Galaxy Z Flip 4 models have started receiving the patch in the US; however, currently it can only be assumed that Galaxy Z Fold 4 units are also getting the same update.

The carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 4 models have just been spotted receiving the December 2024 security update on US Cellular network in the USA and can be recognized with the F721USQS7GXKC firmware version.

Although the Android bulletin for the December month doesn’t mention any major features or changes, it brings a lot of system security improvements while also fixing all the vulnerabilities and bugs via patches from both Google and Samsung that have been addressed in order to offer a secure user experience and protect the Galaxy device against potential risks.

On the other side, the update further adds stability to the device’s behavior and brings performance optimizations for a stable and efficient performance. It applies the latest security patches and helps users to experience enhanced functionality that eventually leads to a smooth and optimized system performance.

Moreover, the aforementioned patch for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is currently available in the US, while it will reach the other eligible markets shortly.
