One UI 7 Brings Biometric Security to Wi-Fi Password Access

Samsung with the One UI 7 introduces a convenient and efficient fix to view a saved Wi-Fi password by using a biometric authentication method instead of the device’s PIN or drawing a pattern.

Previously, for viewing a saved Wi-Fi password, users were forced to enter their device’s PIN or draw a pattern, even through biometric authentication, but now finally with the One UI 7, Samsung brings a convenient option that allows users to use their biometric authentication methods to access already saved Wi-Fi passwords, making the process more convenient and streamlined.

Now Samsung has made it possible to view saved Wi-Fi passwords on your Galaxy device through the Settings application. Users are now permitted to find the relevant option in the Advanced Settings screen of the Wi-Fi menu.

Users can easily view saved Wi-Fi passwords by navigating a few steps: go to the Settings app >> Wi-Fi menu >> Advanced >> Click on the specific Wi-Fi network you want to see the password for. Noticeably, identity verification is mandatory before the password is disclosed, though previously users only had a choice either to provide the PIN or draw the pattern.

This change seems to enhance user experience and security since biometric methods usually stand out as more secure and time-saving as compared to drawing patterns.
