Galaxy S23 and S22 Users Might Wait for The One UI 7 Beta Update

Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 is apparently considered the most significant version in the history of the Galaxy portfolio so far. With the second update already available to test out in beta for the Galaxy S24 series in several countries, the stable version is expected to go live for audiences more widely, potentially in January, next year, alongside the upcoming S series, the S25.

But what about older Galaxy S series phones? Is Samsung planning to take some extra time to release the One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S23 and S22 lineup?

One UI 7 Beta for Galaxy S23, S22: Users Could Be Waiting a Bit Longer

So far, Samsung has actively released One UI 7 beta in two phases for the Galaxy S24 models (in countries including Germany, South Korea, the US, and the UK), excluding India and Poland, where only Beta 1 has been delivered. With Galaxy audiences excitingly waiting for the third One UI 7 beta update, Samsung has currently not commenced the third phase.

While this was the story of One UI 7 beta (both 1 and 2) for the Galaxy S24 owners, alternatively, two weeks ago, with the beta preview spotted on the official Samsung Germany page, it appeared that the latest Android 15-based beta version is not so far for the older flagships, the S23 series. However, there are no official words from Samsung’s side yet. Thus, this signifies that the company may even take extra time in rolling out the One UI 7 beta to the older Galaxy S23 phones.

On the other hand, if such is the case with the Galaxy S23 series, it is likely that Galaxy S22 owners might need to wait for a longer time to try out the One UI 7 beta. Therefore, as the wait continues for the One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S23 and S22 lineup, the stable version will arrive alongside the Galaxy S25 series, as already reported, continuing with the beta testing phase for the older models.
